A very nice, respectful, dignified man who gives me the right information in the right way. I like to ask questions and he has been extremely patient.
The care & compassion of Mr Agrawal and his entire team throughout my breast cancer surgery and treatment has been way beyond my expectations. Throughout I have been treated as a person with a life who just happens to have breast cancer. The surgery necessary to my breast has been so professional and the outcome is wonderful. You are a giant amongst men Mr Agrawal, thank you
He talked all options through with me thoroughly. Originally I Wanted a different procedure but other health problems precluded this. Mr Agrawal explained this carefully, discussed relative risks etc.. Itook his advice and had a lumpectomy. He was able to remove the entire cancer, while chemo had neutralised a small migration to a lymph node, so this proved all that was necessary to give a good prognosis. The scar is very neat, the shape of my breast is excellent, although a little smaller than before, obviously, but not a problem. He has a lovely manner, discusses things fully with patients, answers all questions fully and honestly, even when it is not what you want to hear.He seems to have time for you as a whole, holistic being and, certainly, in my case, the outcome is much, much better than I imagined was possible.
I am so thankful to have had Mr Agrawal as my oncoplastic surgeon after getting diagnosed with breast cancer. His gentle and approachable manner helped put me at ease and his forthcomingness with any information I wanted to know made me confident that I was making an informed decision. He is a stellar surgeon and I couldn't be happier with the results. During one of my follow-up visits when we were discussing how great the tissue looked after settling down, and my decision to have had a flap to fill in the lumpectomy area, he said, "patients know their bodies best"--that was so validating for me to hear and something I think many patients should hear from their doctors. Altogether, I feel I received the highest quality of care and I am forever grateful to have been in his care.
I am so very grateful for Mr Amit Agrawal and his very special care, attention, patience and gentle professionalism in dealing with me recently at Addenbrookes breast unit, where there was suspicion of breast or skin cancer.
Having a history of breast cancer twice, I was very nervous of any tests etc but with his thorough explanations and gentle encouragement I had the tests and was happy to find myself with clear results
Many thanks Doctor Agrawal and thanks also to the nurses
